Session Abstract: This session explores the iterative development of Copilot agents in the Microsoft Copilot Studio to support institutional research workflows. We will share lessons learned from our initial attempt to automate the data request intake process—highlighting challenges in agent design and logic—and how those insights led to a second agent designed to answer questions from our data documentation library. Attendees will gain practical strategies for designing AI agents that align with institutional needs and technical capabilities.
