Session Abstract: This session presents a Tuition Model designed to help institutions forecast tuition revenue and inform strategic planning amid enrollment and funding uncertainties. Leveraging SQL and Power BI, the model integrates historical data, tuition schedules, and projected enrollment to simulate revenue outcomes based on changes to key tuition group rates (e.g., in-state, out-of-state, undergraduate, graduate, military).
Attendees will learn how to build an interactive dashboard that allows users to adjust tuition rates and instantly visualize revenue impacts. The presentation covers data sourcing, student-tuition matching, forecasting methods, and the building and designing of user-facing tools.
A key focus will be on how the Tuition Model supports data-driven decision-making—enabling institutional leaders to evaluate the financial implications of tuition policy changes, optimize pricing strategies, and align revenue planning with enrollment goals.
