Kristina Podesta is a Senior Research Associate in the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning (OIEP) at George Mason University. In that role, she produces research on student outcomes and fulfills federal and state reporting requirements, including biennial enrollment projections. Prior to joining OIEP, she served as a Legislative Research Analyst for the Tennessee General Assembly, where her work informed a wide range of policy decisions and programmatic changes. Her research received several awards from the National Conference of State Legislatures, including the Excellence in Research Methods Award for her evaluation of the Tennessee Promise scholarship program.
Kristina is currently pursuing a PhD in Public Policy at George Mason and recently earned a Graduate Certificate in Data Science from Austin Peay State University. She holds an M.A. from Alice Solomon University in Berlin, Germany and a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
