Qingyang (Claire) Liu is an Institutional Research Data Analyst at Clarkson University, where she supports institutional reporting, accreditation, assessment, and strategic analytics initiatives. Her work focuses on enterprise data systems, predictive modeling, and data-informed decision-making across student, HR, and finance domains. Claire leads major external reporting efforts including IPEDS, the Common Data Set, CUPA-HR, and NCAA reporting, while also developing automated ETL workflows, Power BI dashboards, and data governance processes to improve institutional effectiveness and reporting efficiency.

Her analytical interests include student success analytics, financial aid optimization, enrollment modeling, and workforce analytics. She has experience applying statistical and machine learning techniques—including regression models, random forests, XGBoost, and neural networks—to support strategic planning and resource allocation. Claire also contributes to accreditation and compliance initiatives, including work related to the Middle States Commission on Higher Education reaffirmation process and Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant reporting support.

Claire earned her M.S. in Business Analytics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and holds a B.S. in Global Supply Chain Management with a minor in Economics from Clarkson University. Her current AIR presentation explores data-driven approaches to optimizing financial aid strategy and enrollment outcomes.
