James Salamon is Associate Director of Institutional Research and Assessment at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS), where he bridges technical precision with institutional strategy. An active leader in the IR community, James previously served on the North East Association for Institutional Research (NEAIR) Nominating Committee, currently volunteers with the NEAIR Finance Committee, and mentors emerging professionals through the NEAIR Mentoring Program. He also periodically moderates Association for Institutional Research (AIR) Coffee Chats. He presented a speaker session at the 2025 NEAIR Annual Conference and is a recurring presenter for the NEAIR Professional Development Services series, where he demonstrates open-source tools such as RStudio, Quarto, and DuckDB to advance reproducible workflows and accessible analytics across the field.
