Dr. Qingmin Shi serves as the Director of Research at the Office of Decision Support at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In this role, she leads and conducts research to support data-informed decision-making and oversees interdepartmental and inter-campus research collaborations. Her work focuses on assessing the impact of various campus-wide initiatives, innovations, and programs, such as 15-to-Finish, first-year seminars, co-requisite gateway math, student engagement with Canvas, involement in registered student organizations, study abroad, undergraduate research, and high-impact practices (HIPs), on student outcomes and STEM degree success.
