Dr. Holly Stovall: Through over a decade of experience routinely presenting on behalf of Tarrant County College’s Office of Institutional Research and teaching developmental mathematics to graduate-level statistics, Dr. Holly Stovall has vast familiarity with promoting the use of data and statistics to a wide range of audiences. She has learned the importance of packaging and disseminating data using methods to engage users and emphasizing relevance and potential uses of findings. Her efforts to improve data accessibility using innovative approaches include developing a stats-magazine-styled IR journal- IR Corner, creating an educational video series – Data’s Anatomy, and building TCC’s first Power BI dashboards for the IR Data Hub. As Executive Director, she is often guiding initial data discussions informing evidence-based decisions with high-stakes constitutions. She provides decision-support by leading the IR team in proactive research to strengthen their efforts. As an adjunct professor, Dr. Stovall has honed the ability to transition from theoretical concepts to real-world applications. She holds a master’s in mathematics from Texas A&M – Commerce and a doctorate in statistics from Southern Methodist University. She’s passionate about leveraging higher ed data to foster student success and is a proud Texan who has served at five of Texas’ colleges.
