I’m a higher ed researcher and data enthusiast who loves higher education’s power to transform people’s lives. I’m especially interested in how we design environments, communities, and processes that help students become their best selves. I also love building and creating things. Earlier in my career, that meant writing music; now, I create with data by designing tools, systems, and visualizations that help people make sense of complex information. To me, composing music and building data tools are similar: both create order from chaos and can spark transformation. Today, I’m lucky to merge my research background with my creative side to understand what’s happening at a university, then building something like a report, dashboard, visualization, or app that helps others see those patterns more clearly and act on them in meaningful ways.
