Lawrence L. LeClaire III, PhD, serves as Associate Professor of Biomedical Sciences at the Alabama College of Osteropathic Medicine where he teaches biochemistry, gentics, and cell biology. He and his team have been leaders in mapping education curriculum for osteopathic medical schools. Dr. LeClaire obtained his Bachelor of Science and PhD in biological sciences from Florida State University and trained as a postdoctoral researcher in cell migration and signaling at the University of California, San Francisco. Prior to joining ACOM, he served as assistant professor at the University of South Alabama, College of Medicine. Dr. LeClaire’s research interests includes molecular switches that control cell migration and motility, with this understanding of how these switches function in cells, leading to the development of therapies and drugs to control migration in tissue healing and cancer metastasis.
