Lynda Zhang is a Senior Research Analyst and Manager in Harvard’s FAS Institutional Research Office. She leads institutional research, program review of undergraduate and graduate programs, utilizing a wide range of statistical methods to extract insights. Lynda supports the Senior Director by addressing strategic questions and advancing data-informed decision-making for senior leadership. She also manages special initiatives, including delivering assessment workshops for the Harvard community, providing analytical support to analysts, and overseeing other impactful projects.
To date, Lynda has designed and delivered over a dozen workshops on topics such as assessment planning, survey design, Qualtrics, data analysis, and data visualization,which have drawn more than 780 total staff and faculty attendances from 12 different Harvard schools. Additionally, she has provided consulting services to nearly 30 staff members from various offices, enhancing their capacity for data-driven decision-making.
Lynda serves on several institutional committees, including the Harvard College Survey Committee, the Harvard ASC Steering Committee, and the Harvard Institutional Research Group.
Earlier in her career, Lynda was a Statistical Consultant at the Harvard-MIT Data Center, Product Manager and Statistical Consultant at Unica (a marketing automation software company), and Director of Statistical Analysis at Copernicus, a marketing investment research firm. She holds an M.A. in Sociology from Fordham University.
