Session Abstract: Are you regularly confronted with data emergencies? Would you like to shift your time to more significant projects? Learn how three colleges tackled high data demands by creating more systematic and sustainable approaches to addressing stakeholders’ needs. Presenters will explain their strategies for efficiently managing ad hoc requests, strengthening stakeholder use of existing IR resources, and being proactive about preparing data to advance college priorities. Participants will be able to apply these strategies for minimizing chaos and maximizing capacity in their institutional research offices. These strategies are important to reinforce the role of institutional researchers as providers of meaningful information, not just as institutional rescuers for data emergencies.
