Karen Froslid Jones serves as Associate Provost of Academic Planning and Assessment at The George Washington University, a role she has held since 2024. She provides leadership across a broad portfolio, including oversight of the Office of Institutional Research and Planning, the Office of Survey Analytics, and the development of the University Bulletin. She also leads institutional efforts in academic program review, assessment of student learning, and the university’s Middle States accreditation, while supporting data-informed approaches to strategic planning.
Karen has three decades of experience in institutional research and assessment, having previously served as Assistant Provost at American University. She has a particular interest in accreditation, having served on more than 15 visiting teams. She is currently a member of the Candidate and Applicant Institution Committee for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Her professional engagement also includes service on committees for both the Association for Institutional Research (AIR) and the Northeast Association for Institutional Research (NEAIR).
