    Charla Orozco is a higher education data professional with over a decade of experience in statistical analysis, data visualization, and interdisciplinary research at the University of New Mexico. As the Director of the Office of Institutional Analytics, she leads data-informed initiatives to enhance student success, with a focus on supporting underrepresented students, including parenting students, first-generation students, and those facing basic needs insecurity. She holds advanced degrees in Cybersecurity & Business Analytics and Latin American Studies and is proficient in R, SAS, SQL, and Tableau. Charla excels at applying innovative methodologies to solve complex problems, communicate results effectively, and drive data-informed decision-making in collaborative, mission-focused environments. Passionate about leveraging data for meaningful change, she is committed to using analytics to create opportunities to improve the student experience at UNM.
