Yan is an institutional research professional focused on transforming complex data into actionable insights that directly inform decision-making in higher education. Drawing on a background in engineering and data analytics, she brings a systems-thinking approach to institutional challenges, moving beyond what the data shows to what institutions should do as a result.
Currently serving as a Research Analyst in the Research & Analytics department at the College of DuPage, she partners with stakeholders across the institution to connect analysis to action and ensure that data findings translate into meaningful, timely decisions. Yan is particularly passionate about designing practical, scalable analytics approaches that support IR offices of all sizes, and her work is guided by the goal of helping institutions move from reporting to impact.
