Susan Burkhauser is dedicated to providing data and research insights that inform strategic planning and policy development in higher education. She currently serves as the Senior Director of Institutional Research at Austin Community College (ACC). As a proud Riverbat, Susan is involved in several passion projects at ACC, including serving on a cross-college workgroup that empowers faculty and instructional staff to actively engage in departmental data-informed decision-making by enhancing data literacy; collaborating with the Change Initiatives Leadership Academy, which focuses on fostering a sense of belonging in the classroom; assisting with the development of a new program review process and program effectiveness scorecard; and contributing to ACC's Theory of Change through data deep dives and co-chairing the Student Success Course design team. Her CliftonStrengths are Achiever, Learner, Developer, Relator, and Empathy. Susan holds a PhD in Policy Analysis from the RAND Graduate School and has previously worked with the American Institutes for Research and Loyola Marymount University.
