Dr. Beth Ellie is an accomplished leader in higher education, currently serving as the Director of Institutional Effectiveness, Accreditation & Quality at Mid-State Technical College in central Wisconsin. With nearly 20 years of experience in institutional research, accreditation, and strategic initiatives, she has been a driving force in fostering continuous improvement and academic excellence.
Prior to her current role, Beth spent a decade in similar positions at another Wisconsin Technical College and served as Associate Director of Policy and Initiatives for the Midwest Higher Education Compact, a multi-state, quasi-governmental agency dedicated to advancing higher education across 12 Midwestern states.
A Six Sigma Black Belt, Beth excels in translating complex data into actionable insights, empowering teams to build consensus and drive meaningful institutional change. Her expertise in accreditation spans nearly 20 years, serving as both an Accreditation Liaison Officer and a peer reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission. She is an HLC Team Chair in training.
Beth holds a doctorate in Higher Education Leadership from Edgewood College and a graduate certificate in Evaluation Studies from UW-Stout.
Beyond her professional achievements, Beth has a passion for international travel, shaped in part by her experience teaching English in China for two years.
