Tucker Plumlee is Director of Data & Analytics at the Center for Regional Economic Competitiveness (CREC), where he coordinates the organization's data infrastructure and advances analytical methods in support of CREC's national networks and research, evaluation, and technical assistance initiatives. His work includes management of the Projections Managing Partnership (PMP) and other initiatives supporting data sharing and communication among state labor market information (LMI) offices; design of analytical methods for regional economic and workforce development research projects; and the development of ETL pipelines for large, individual-level datasets.
Mr. Plumlee has more than a decade of experience in economic and workforce development research, with a deep knowledge of labor market information and other federal/state statistical systems, a strategic understanding of workforce development policies and trends, and technical fluency across multiple programming languages, data systems, and computing environments. Prior to joining CREC, Mr. Plumlee was the Associate Director of Labor Market Intelligence at Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA), where he guided the college's analysis of regional workforce trends, led institutional research initiatives, and developed a portfolio of research products to communicate strategic, data-driven insights to staff, faculty, students, and community partners.
He holds a Master of Public Policy degree from George Mason University, a Master of Arts from the Iliff School of Theology, and a bachelor's degree from the University of Denver. He is also a Certified Economic Research Professional (CERP) through the Council for Community and Economic Research (C2ER).
