Tracy Bacon is the Assistant Director of Planning, Institutional Effectiveness, and Research at College of Southern Maryland. After earning her PhD in sociology at the University of Arizona, she worked as a community college professor before moving into institutional research. In her current role she leads a team of research analysts in compiling reports, conducting surveys, and analyzing and sharing institutional data. She works to support data literacy and create a culture of data-informed decision making across the college.
