Matt Nickodemus leads institutional effectiveness and data strategy efforts focused on one core idea: data only matters if it changes how institutions operate.
As the Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness, he has built enterprise data systems, governance structures, and metric frameworks that connect strategy to execution. His work challenges institutions to move beyond fragmented reporting toward systems that produce aligned, trustworthy signals for decision-making.
With a background in mathematics and faculty experience, Matt brings both technical and organizational insight to the design of data ecosystems. His work centers on helping institutions build the underlying functions—governance, architecture, and execution—that turn data into action.
He will be joining the University of Nebraska at Omaha in June.
