Angela Baldasare, PhD, is the Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Vice President for Research, Strategy, and Planning at National University (NU). She leads a cross-cutting portfolio that integrates institutional strategy, university analytics, student success, and the research enterprise—helping turn mission into measurable progress for NU’s adult, working, and non-traditional learners. A nationally recognized leader in institutional research and analytics, Angela is known for translating complex information into clear decision pathways and practical action across large, mission-driven organizations. Angela’s enthusiasm for being an applied sociologist and doing good in the world has driven her 25+ years of professional experience in which she has served as a faculty member, researcher, higher education administrator, and as a consultant for ed tech, government agencies, and community-based organizations. Presently, Angela is laser-focused on leveraging AI for student success and on the development of National University’s Cause Research Institute (CRI), promoting meaningful applied research engagement for students, faculty, and staff in a non-traditional university environment and community ecosystem.
