Lijun Catherine Liu, PhD, is a Data Analyst at the Michael V. Drake Institute for Teaching and Learning at The Ohio State University. She is an educational researcher and data scientist specializing in institutional research, program evaluation, learning analytics, survey research, and mixed-methods inquiry.
Her current work focuses on international student engagement and success, including analyses of NSSE data to better understand disparities and improve student experiences. In her role, Dr. Liu supports faculty, staff and institutional leaders in using data to enhance teaching, learning, and student outcomes.
Before transitioning to higher education, Dr. Liu held faculty and research roles in biomedical sciences and contributed to NIH-funded research as a Core Director, co-investigator, and principal investigator. She is particularly interested in collaborative, cross-disciplinary work that connects data science, educational research, and institutional practice to advance equity and innovation in higher education.
