University Associate Dean for Prematriculation Programs and Program Assessment

Jeanette Kim is the University Associate Dean for Prematriculation Programs and Program Assessment, and divides her time working in two areas within CUNY’s Office of Academic Affairs. Part of her time is working within the University’s Student Success Initiatives overseeing a set of programs designed to improve student’s academic skills prior to matriculating into degree programs (CUNY Start, the Adult Literacy Programs, and the CUNY Language Immersion Programs). She is also a member of the leadership team of the Office of Applied Research, Evaluation, and Data Analytics (OAREDA) overseeing the research and evaluation services to more than 30 different programs administered by CUNY’s Central Office. In this capacity, she works across the University to establish policy, strategize on areas of program improvement and staff development, design and streamline program reporting and assessment needs, and determine growth potential for programs within Academic Affairs. She is also involved in supporting the Chancellor’s annual University-wide Performance Management Process and strategic data use practices. Prior to this, she managed dual enrollment and other pre-college programs both at CUNY and at Westchester Community College (SUNY) and spent several years training teachers to establish school‐based science research programs. Jeanette has a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from SUNY Albany and an M.A. in Educational Administration and Policy from Teachers College, Columbia University.
